Christopher Blaze is a Miami police detective who infiltrates and helps destroy the Cannus cult, a group responsible for many deaths. Before he dies in a hail of bullets, their leader, Batiste Legendre, puts a curse on Chris, saying that he will become one of the undead. It seems Batiste had some real influence. Not long after this incident Chris himself is shot, dies, and turns into a vampire. The first thing he does is volunteer for the graveyard shift, since now he can only work at night. His new powers give him some advantages, but there are also problems. The biggest of these concerns the other vampire in the city, the evil, 300-year-old Yosekaat Rakz. |
